CD. He was one of the ori-
ginal Directors of the Colo-
rado board and was instru-
mental in the District’s or-
ganisation in January, 1948.
A plaque was presented to
Mr. Koehn by Chairman Eng-
strom.
A barbecue meal was ca-

Service and was enjoyed by

Two members of our com-
munity who were honored
with beautiful corsages on
Sunday morning in the wor-
ship service of the Industry
Methodist Church were Mrs.
Donnie Barnett for being the
youngest mother present,
and Mrs. Lester Luerge for
having three children pre-
sent Others receiving cor-
sages were Mrs. Frieda Spi-
ess who also had three chil-
dren present, and “Q-and-
ma” Galle who was the old-
est mother present. She is
ninety years “young”, the
corsages were donated by
another member of our com-
munity, Lorine Eckermann.
On Saturday, May 13, Mr.
and Mrs. Dennis Luetge
spent the afternoon with Mr.
and Mrs. Lanard Luetge.
They live near Old Washing-
ton. On Wetaesday of last
week LeRoy and Geraldine
Luetge visited with Dennis
and Lula in their home! Lula
is feeling much better, after
having a sick spell duringthe
winter.
Gary and Lisa Luetge
spent Mother's Day and
Gary’s birthday in Porter.
While there, Lisa attended a
shower for Miss Janis Hae-
dge of Hempstead. The show
er was given by friends at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.

The ALC Women of St.
John Lutheran Church of New
Ulm met Wednesday, May 10
at 2:00 p.m. for their re-
gular monthly meeting.
Eleonora Will opened the
meeting with the hymn “My
Faith Look? Up To Thee”.
The birthday hymn, “Softly
and Tenderly” was sung for
the three birthday celebrants
in May.
The devotion and prayer
was given by Norma Krause,
followed by the minutes of
the previous meeting and roll
call by the secretary, May-
nette Heinsohn. The treas-
urer's report was read by
Joyce Wiebusch. The Ste-
warship Secretary's report
was given by Gerrie Boehme
The ladies decided to make
more quits and June 26 was
set as a quilting day.
Alice Mae Brune gave an
interesting report on the Sp-
ring Conference at Brenham.
It was decided that the
ALC Women would furnish
drinks for the Vacation Bi-
ble School this summer.
Children are to bring their
own lunches.
After the meditation and
prayer by Gerrie Boehme,
the closing prayer was given
by Pastor Rostedt. Bible St-
udy was conducted by Rubina
Heinsohn and Norma Gross.
Lunch was served to 23
members and Pastor Ros-
tedt after the meeting.
