On October 30 the Katy and Texas
and Pacific had shipped only 11,686
bales of cotton from it^Denton coun-
ty stations, leaving more than 8,000
bales yet to come If this reason's
total tomes up to that of last year.
The an hand figures on that date
showed a total of only 1,373 bales
and the "in sight” total is 3,760,
making a total prospectiJbly for thia
season of 15,819. Probably three or
four hundred bales of this
crop, however, are figured
last year's total, which
everything up to
sive.
The county* total will, of course,
include the shipments at
Krum*. Ponder and Justin,
wilt get about 2500 bales,
about^LwO, Ponder 60q or 700 and
Justin about 750. If those figures
are correct and the prospective in-
sight figures on the Katy are not ov-
er-estimated the county’s total will
be only about 20,000 bales. It is
believed, however, .that the ginner’s
report will show more tnan that for
the year. In fact. Pilot Point has al-
ready received. more <han the pros
pective total as given in the railroad
report and Denton will probably ex-
ce^d by 200 or 300 bales the total
furnished from here.
