Goldsboro, N, C.—“A physician treat-
ed me for many distressing symptoms,’’
writes Mrs. Etta A. Smith, “but gave
me no relief.
“1 suffered with neuralgia around the
heart and waa troubled at times with my
head. 1 had pain in mv left side, bowels,
left thigh, shoulders Nid arms.
“After taking Cardui, 1 am now well
and can recommend it to other suffering
women.”
Just such doubtful symptoms, as those
from which Mrs. Smith suffered, are the
ones for which it will pay you to take
Cardui, the woman's tonic.
It 1* at such times, when there Is noth-
ing to show, for certain, the real cause of
(lie trouble, that you need a tonic, to give
the body strength to throw off the illness
that evidently threatens.
Take Cardui, when you are ill, with
the ailments of yout sex. Take Cardui
as a tonic, to prevent illness, when you
feel it coming. »

unjust to me a„ it would be un-
truthful for such a report to gain
credence. It would be more agree-
able to me to be in hermitage than
in conspiculty, but I feel that I owe
society a duty and 1 can not perform
4hat duty in recluse. There isn't an
•office big enough in the gift of the
(people of the world to tempt me to
merely to have an office. If the in-
centive or inotiv,. was not hlgner
than merely having an office I
wouldn't have any office I would
want to shirk the responsibility. But
responsibility is the concomitant of
duty and 1 have got to shoulder re
■ponsibility, a thing that it wculd
be agreeable to me to eschew, if 1
perform my duty Respectfully.
