Master Mark Guriey entertained
a boat of little frf-ihds Saturday af
ternoon from 3 to 5 with a blrtuday
pary in honor of his seventh anni-
versary. The children “hunted”
animals on the lawn for some time,
and the capture in about half an
hour of fierce cooky lions, tigers,
rhino, eri and other animals of the
jungle probably exceeded the total
amount captured by “Teddy” in his
whole life. After the jungle hunt,
a fishing pond furnished souvenir
fishing amusement, and candy and
fruits were passed. The birthday
cake on the dining table held seven
pretty candles, gnd Master Marx
chose Emory Barton, Will Hili,
Mark Waldrip and Nancy Christel,
Amy Base Smith and Car] Under-

and cake were served to the follow-
ing little folks: Cynthia and Lydia

the Sells-Floto circuB which plays
here for a single day's engagement
on October 19 has on its program
one'number which is essentially a
novelty. It is introduced primarily
as a novelty act. In which a horse
hitched to an ordinary landau car-
rying two passengers is driven into
the ring. At drst the animal re-
fuses to move and when urged by
his driver, kicks that individual
clean off the seat back upon the
lady and gentleman seated in toe
carriage. The animal then kicks
hinise f out of the harnees and af-
the '
by
jumping over the vehicle and its
occupants.
The act in itself is what is term-
ed a scream in the show world, and
further demonstiate sthe marve'ous
possibilities of horse training, which
indeed as years go by, seem with
