turkey dinner with all the
trimmings last Sunday. Those
present were Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Justin Kubicek and fa-
mily, Miss Ruth Ann Zapalac,
James Wunderlich and Miss

Machinsky and two grand-
daughters of Industry visited
in the Moeller home. Over
the weekend Ben Moeller, Jr.
aid son Matt of Austin visited
the Moeller's. On Saturday,
in a vehicle to and from the
hunting site. Another and pro-
bably one of the most impor-
tant safety rule to remember
is never shoot at anything
until you can positively iden-
tify the item you are about
to shoot at. Never shoot at
movements within a brushy
area, you may be shooting at
your buddy. A hunting trip is
and can be a very enjoyable
event if everyone practices
safety with their weapons and
get everyone home alive and
unharmed.

message. Assisted officers
with a wreck. Had County and
Justice court today. Arrested
one on an old fine. Served
papers in Columbus.
Oct. 21. Helped with the
Garwood Fair. Made a trip to
Garwood to arrest two for
being drunk. Served papers in
Columbus.
Oct. 22 . Made a disturbance
call to Mentz. Had Justice
Court, Assisted with accident
on state 10. Answered call to
Glidden to check out a bum.
Oct. 23 A 24, Answered call
reference shooting near river
bridge. Answered disturbance
call to Glidden. Trip to Eagle
Lake to pick up mental patient.
Answered a local call ref. a
disturbance. Had Justice
court. Caught calf that got lo-
ose at local auction barn.
Oct. 27. Served papers in
Eagle Lake. Answered call
close to county line ref. two
drunks. One arrested for hot
check. Set up road block for
car wanted at Flatonia.
Oct. 28. Assisted with Bi-
cycle Rodeo. Served papers in
Eagle Lake and Rock island.
Answered call in Garwood.
Answered disturbance call
east of Columbus. Arrested
one for no drivers license.
Oct. 29. Had Justice court.
Arrested two for fighting. Trip
to Weimar with Judge Schmidt
to hold inquest.
Oct. 30 A 31. Had District
and County court. Had Jury
trial in the evening. One ar-
rested for theft that was want-
ed by Liberty County. Trip
to Huntsville Pen with two
subjects. Served papers in
Weimar. Trip to Rusk with a
mental patient.
We handled 68 prisoners
thru the jail this month.

all enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiv-
ing dinner that day.

Wayne Peschel of Rosenberg
spent Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. George Peschel. They
came especially to do some
hunting. Cecil Wayne got a
deer.
Randy and Deeann Rinn
spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Blezinger
and Louis Blezinger while
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jay Dee Rinn are in Freder-
icksburg hunting. On Sunday
evening Randy went home with
his uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Burnle Galle. Deeann
had to remain with her grand-
parents because she became
