Basing his estimate on the census
enumeration now nearing completion,
County Superintendent Edwards stated
Monday morning that the scholastic en-
rollment for Denton county this year
will be better than 10,000, or an increase
of about 500 at the least, over last year.
Last year the enumerators for the coun-
ty enrolled 9.538 scholastics. “It is no-
thing unusual in this year’s enumera-
tion.” stated Mr Edwards “for the little
one-teacher school districts to show in-
crease of one to twelve and the larger
districts are showing proportionate in-
crease. according to their size.”
Monday opened the last week for the
field enumeration and Mr. Edwards
states he expects all districts to have
their reports filed by the time limit,
, Saturday night. Thirty-two districts
! have not reported yet, but he enumera-
tion is said to be nearing completion in
i all nf these.
