He and Paula Begeman were
married November 30, 1962 in
Electra. He was a member of

the EISD. He was preceded
in death by his father, Vernon
Rodgers, one sister, Doris and
one granddaughter, Shannon
Hodgkins.

Held Feb. 19
Electra’s AARP met Febru-
ary 19, 2002 at the Senior Cit-
izens Center for their monthly
covered dish meal and business
meeting.
The plaque given for Orga-
nization of the Year and a
congratulatory plaque given by
David Farabce, our representa-
tive, and the Texas House of
Representative, were displayed.
Following a business session
pecans were available for a $4
donation to the general fund.
These had been shelled and
packaged by Dick Cranford
and Herschel Wilson. A plate
of divinity was auctioned to
benefit the organization.
Mr. Olan Bourland, program
chairman, brought a program
“Waves”. It as informative
and interesting. Janice Sons,
Justice of the Peace in Wichita
Falls, will be speaker on March
19, 2002. All those 50 and
older are welcome to attend the
