be art which has not previously
won a ribbon in the Electra Art
Show. Exhibitors are responsible
for delivery of their work to and
from the show. Work must not be
picked up prior to 4:30 p.m. on
May 7, 1988.
Work must be framed for
hanging, no sawtooth hangers

will be sponsored here Saturday,
April 23 by Volunteer Fire
Department of Electra and Punk-

The cookoff will be conducted
by CASI rules at the Electra
Riding Club rodeo grounds.
Trophies will be presented.
Judges will be the top 10 chilies,
top three showmanship, and top
three fire departments.
Cooks will meet at 11 a.m.and
have their entries ready by 2
p.m. Entry fee is $15.00.
A Friday night party for en-

The Electra I.S.D. will solicit
public input on next year’s
Chapter I and II programs at the
school board meeting Monday
night at 7:00 p.m. in the
administration building.
Chapter I is a federally funded
program that provides services to
educationally deprieved children.
Chapter II is a consolidated
program that is used to supple-
ment local money to enhance the
education of our students.
Anyone in the community is
eligible to give input for the
program.
This data will be used to help
plan the design of next year’s
program. Currently, Chapter I
funds the salaries of one teacher
and four aids who assist students
in grades 1-8.
