Harry McAlister paced the Tiger
defense Friday with seven tackles
followed by Johnson, Rodgers and
Brian Seale with six each. Wayne
Watkins added five tackles and
Jeff Barker, Chris McGrew and
James Gowen each had four.
McGrew also had one fumble
recovery and one caused fumble.
Rodgers had a fumble recovery
and Bruce Dulaney recorded the
Tigers only interception.
Through four games Rex John-
son paces the Tiger defense with
29 tackles and one fumble recov-
ery. McAlister had 27 tackles and
James Gowen had 22 tackles with
one interception. Eddie Rodgers,
playing in three games, has
recorded 18 tackles and one
interception and one fumble re-
covery. Royce Reynolds has 20
tackles and one interception,
Bradley -Schlegel has 19 tackles
and Brian Borton has 16 tackles
and two interceptions.
The Tigers will travel to Munday
this Friday night to face the Class
2A Moguls who will be attempting
to upset the 3A Tigers as Electra
upset the 4A Iowa Park Hawks two
weeks ago.
The Moguls could well be the
fastest team the Tigers will face all
season. “They have good speed
just about everywhere,” Coach
Joe Allen said Monday. “They
have a couple of backs with 4.5
speed (in 40-yard dash) and that’s
fast for our type schools”
“We’ll have to play tough across
the line Friday,” Allen added,
"We can’t allow their speed to get
cranked up in our secondary. If we
do, they’ll break the long ones on
us.”
