Miranda received Who’s Who
in Athletics last year and only
participated in volleyball this
year. Her favorite subject is
Biology and she likes the color
red. Her riding pleasure is
in a black ’94 chevy stepside
with Rap music on the radio.
Chicken will satisfy her tastes
and Dr. Pepper is the drink
she chooses. Cook said that her
role model helps her through
everyday life and named Jackie
Snoderly as that person.

The annual Booster Club
Banquet was held this past
week at HHS gym. The ban-
quet honors all HHS students
who participated in literary
and/Or sports events for the
past school year. Superinten-
dent Perry gave the invoca-
tion followed by President Bob
Donahue’s welcome. All guests
and members enjoyed a bar-
beque brisket meal catered by
the Booster Club members with
head chefs being Terry Nava
and Don Mason. Academic stu-
dents were then honored and
presented award by UIL Liter-
ary coaches Bob Donahue, Mrs.
Sandy Blalock, Mrs. Betty
Weiser, Craig Templeton, Mrs.
Carlynn Thrash, and Phil Cor-
less. Athletes were then recog-
nized and presented awards by
coaches Ronnie Benson, Mrs.
Carlynn Thrash, Craig Tem-
pleton and Ron Brandon. Spe-
cial awards went to Wendy
Johnson and Landon Perry for
UIL Literary’; Stacy Tomp-
kins and T.J. Nava for Who’s
Who in Drama; Kasey Mor-
ris for Who’s Who Athletics banquet will be held Monday,
