Memorial Park on August 28,
1998. He had formerly resided
in Electra for several years.
Survivors include his wife,

Woods of Dallas; brothers,
Jack Woods and David Woods
of Fort Worth; sisters, Pauline

at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist
Church with Rev. John Klap-
penbach, pastor, First Baptist
Church, Electra, officiating
and Rev. Jim Belcher, Jr., min-
ister from Abilene, Texas, as-
sisting.
Mrs. King was born March
26, 1914 in Odell, Texas. She
and Cecil King were married
June 27, 1947 in Torrence,
California. She was a member
of the First Baptist Church
of Electra and taught Sun-
day School. She graduated from
Vernon High School in 1931,
Harris College of Nursing,
T.C.U. of Fort Worth-1947.
She was in the Cadet Corp, dur-
ing WWII. Worked in training
Union Depts., was coordinator
of nurseries, member Shriners
Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary,
member of the Living Donor
Bank and a volunteer at the
Blood Bank. She was registered
nurse for 50 years.
Survivors include her hus-
band, Cecil of Electra; one
brother, Jim Belcher, Sr. of
Wichita Falls; one nephew, Dr.
Jim Belcher, Jr. of Abilene,
Texas; one niece, Lane King-
cade of Wichita Falls, Texas
and two great nephews, one
great niece. She was preceded
in death by a son, Jerry, May
20, 1979.

Mr. McBroom was born April
20, 1932 in Electra. He was
a retired truck driver. He
and Mozella Elizabeth Brown
were married November 6,1954
in Wichita Falls, Texas. He
was a sergeant in the U.S.
Army, serving from 1951 until
1954, and was past secretary
of the Electra Jaycees. He
was a volunteer fireman with
the Electra Volunteer Fire
Department and coached little
league baseball.
Survivors include: His wife,
Mozella McBroom of Holliday,
Texas; three sons, Gary Dean
McBroom of Holliday, Texas;
Terry Joe McBroom of Elec-
tra; David Allen McBroom of
Holliday, Texas; one daughter,
Debbie Faye Pearcy of Bastrop,
Texas; three sisters, Audie Mae
Young of Rhome, Texas; Helen
Dowe of Wichita Falls, Texas
and Retta Cook of Houston,
