she lived in Vernon and Amarillo,
where she managed a motel and

Farmer members the opportunity
to visit with major agricultural
industry representatives to hear
speakers discuss issues concern-
ing futuristic agriculture, and to
conduct the business of the
association which included the
election of state officers for the
upcoming year. Gillis also served
as voting delegate for the Wil-
barger Chapter during the bus-
iness meeting.

selected from other area winners
on the basis of the chapter’s
yearly activities and educational
meetings. Accepting the award
on behalf of the Wilbarger
Chapter was President Bruce
Gillis.

cian. She also managed a motel
in Electra for years.
She has 1 daughter, Dortha
Lee, no grandchildren, but a lot
of neices and nephews who live
in the area.
She played the organ and piano
for entertainfnent and she enjoy-
ed ceramics. She says her
favorite hobby is reading. She
use to like horse-back riding.
Mrs. Luttrell enjoys staying
busy at Electra Nursing Center.
She participates in many activi-
ties.

urday, January 16 with an
educational tour of the denim
mill at Littlefield. The tour
explained the process of conver-
ting bales of cotton into quality
denim fabric.
The convention will reconvene
during January of 1989 in Corpus

The Wilbarger County Chapter
of Young Farmers was honored
as the Outstanding New Chapter
of Texas during the Annual
Iowa Park came over and played Awards Banquet at the 34th State
Convention of Texas Young
Farmers in Lubbock this past

Last night, Voncille Jacobi
brought us a jewelry show. She
had a door prize and Lula Bloxum
won a beautiful strand of pearls.
Those atending were Inez Pierce,

Scheffee, Jaxcine Orr, and Jda
June Holland. Voncille is going
to start having jewelry shows on
a regular bases for us and Jaxine
Orr and Hazel Walser of Ward-
robes Unlimited have promised
to do a style show for us. Thev
are going to be together. We are
going to set a date as soon- as
possible. Either February* or
March and next time, ladies, I
promise-we will have lights injthe
living room.
You mothers of little girls ^nd
boys-3 to 6 years old-we are
going to have a beauty pageant at
Electra Nursing Center. We are
also going to have a beauty
contest for the residents. I’ve^ot
to get a date for this, so more
later. i( '
We’ve finally gotten enough
Legg's Eggs now. Thanks to
everybody who contribu/e'd.
