He is a 1975 graduate of Elec-
tra High School and attended

lege and Howard College in Big
Spring. He is a member of the

Blackwood Quartet of Bran-
son, Missouri, will be pre-
sented in concert here on Fri-
day, Dec. 18, 1992, in Electra
High School auditorium.
The concert will'begin at 7:30
p.m. and will last approxi-
mately two hours.
The concert of country gospel
music will be sponsored by
the youth of First Baptist
Church of Electra. Proceeds
will benefit their projects.
Advanced tickets are now
available for $8.50 for adults
and $5.00 for children under 12.
Tickets will be $10.00 at the
door for adults and $5.00 for
children under 12.

will begin Tuesday, Dec. 1,
and continue through Thurs-

Publishers of the newspaper an(] drinks,
said this week the Christmas
subscription special is an annual
event held each December.
During the special yearly
subscriptions will cost $1.00 less
than the regular price. New
or renewal subscriptions in Wi-
chita and Wilbarger County will
be $9.00 rather than $10.00;
elsewhere in Texas, $11.00
rather than $12.00, and out-
side Texas, $15.00 rather than
$16.00.
Gift cards are available at the
newspaper office.
A greased spatula will get
sticky cookies off the cookie
sheet more easily.

Alpha Phi Rho is a non-profit
organization and the proceeds to
help in the community services.

and crafts booths, the chapter
will operate a concession stand
serving barbecue sandwiches
in announcing the upcoming ob

Elementary School and their
teachers visited the Electra
Star-News on Friday, Nov. 20.
A copy of the Dinsmore
News, written by the students,
as well as the original copy and
layout, was shared with the

Planned By Sorority
Alpha Phi Rho chapter of
Beta Sigma Phi is organizing its
annual Community Christmas
Tree designed to insure all local
children under 12 years of age
have a Merry Christmas. The
tree will be set up at Joe’s Food
Store.
Residents who choose a tag
are asked to donate or purchase
a gift and return the wrapped
gift with tag attached as soon
as possible.
Sorority members are gath-
ering names for the tree. Any-
one interested in having a name
on the tree should call one of
the numbers listed. All fami-
lies wishing to participate will
be contacted before names are
put on the tree.
