Twenty-one participaints com-
pleted a twelve hour Com-
panion Caregiver SEminar re-
cently sponsored by the Wichita
County Home Economics Com-’
mittee and Texas Agricultural
Extension Service.
The seminar included in-
formation on the process of
aging, psychology of work-
ing with older adults, roles
and responsibilities of being a
caregiver,job stress, legal as-
pects,dealing with emergencies
and nutrition. Participants also
had hands on training in the
physical care of patients includ-
ing transference, bed changing,
TPR, and blood pressure.
A panel completedthe course
by discussing job possibilitlies
in the area.
Those completing the course
were Dolores York, Sophie
Hull’, Margie Brooks, June
Avrett, Dita Lou Dean, Mary
Ann Cook, Margaret Flory,
Jennie Robertson, Veronica Iles- constituent questions.

Dollar Store, Electra Public
Library or Electra Star News.
Prizes are on display at Bill’s
Dollar Store.
Walkers arc welcome includ
ing small children with tricy-
cles, scooters, etc. The event
w'ill be from 10a.m. to 12 noon.
