Do You Want the Employees of the
Texas-Louisiana Power Company to.
Work Hand in Hand with You
for Breckenridge?
We're just like the rest of the folks in Breckenridge . . . strong for our town . . .
and at the same time loyal to the people we are working for.
Most of us have been here a long time . . . long enough to get in the saddle and
understand the problems that confront everybody every day.
We know . . . and you know . . . that a change of ownership of the Texas-Louisiana
Power Company at this time means that we will be sitting high and dry . . .
wondering what we will do next.
The fact of the business is . . . we have almost lost our grip . . . but we are still
holding on ... in the hopes that the people of Breckenridge won't go to the polls to-
morrow and vote for municipal ownership. i '' r J $i;f( P? ;.
Every one of us that have put our names to the bottom of this statement . . .
and have contributed our own money to pay for it feel that we are a part of your
civic and commercial life.
If you like us . . . and want us to stay in your town ... go hand in hand wilh
you . . . then go to the polls tomorrow and vole against municipal ownership . . .
that means that we can stay with you . . . be one of you . . . work with you . . and
assures us that we can keep our job.
We believe that the public are the last ones on earth thai want to create un-
employment . . . That's why we don't believe that you will vote the Texas-Louisiana
Power Company . . . our employer . . . out of business ... at tomorrow's election.
Yours for a better and bigger Breckenridge.
