this fall. All parents, with children
in this age group, should bring the

Activities for residents at Electra
Nursing Center have been an-
nounced for the month' of May.
A shopping spree is planned for
2 p.m. the 6th, ' -
National Nursing Home, Week
will be observed -from«the 8th
through the I4th; Special eVents
include a picnic at 10 ar.m?ion ihe
10th and the releasing of balloons
at 3 p.m. on the 11th to kick off the
celebration. Each" bi&iddh^^Will
contain a paper or card with a
residents name and address on the
Nursing Home, anyone finding
such a balloon is asked to please
drop a note to the name inside.
Nursing Centers across the coun-
try will participate in this event
and approximately 70,000^ ballons
are expected to hit the air at the
same time Wednesday... - •
Open house is scheduled ^t 2
p.m. the 13th. '
The Mobil Wives.-will serve cake
and punch to residents on the 16th
at 2p.m. and the Resident Council
will meet at 2 p.m. -the 20th.‘
The monthly birthday party.zwill
be held on the 31st by Hillside
Baptist Church honoring Odie
Dhane, whose birthday is the 13th.
Sunday school is held at 9:30
a.m. each Sunday-with special
services at 3 p.nj. The Church of
God held the service last Sunday,
the 1st. The Mothers Day service,
May 8th, will be held by Com-
munity Church. On the 15th the
service is to be held-by Church of
Christ. First Baptist will share
with residents on the 22nd and
First Methodist will conclude the
month on the 28th.
Each Wednesday’s schedule in-
cludes grooming for residents at
9:30 a.m., a Bible study at 9:30
a.m. sing-a-long at 2 p.m. and a
devotion at 2:30 p.m. Each
Thursday at 2 p.m. residents can
play bingo.
Choirs will provide special enter-
tainment for the residents at 7
p.m. on the 3rd, 9th, 17th, 23rd,
and 31st.
Walks are schedules for 9 a.m.
each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
and Friday.
The Rhythm Band is scheduled
to entertain at 10 a.m. the 6th and
19th.
Residents can exercise every
weekday at 11:30 a.m. except the
10th.
Other activities and games plan-
ned throughout the month include
shuffle board, bean bag,
dominoes, reading, music, TV,
and crafts.
The month of April was active for
residents of Electra Nursing Cen-
ter.
Ladies of Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Harrold made miniature
Faster baskets for each resident
for the Easter Hollidays. Sacks
filled with Easter “goodies” were
brought by ladies of the Methodist
Church. Those participating were:
Faye Prichett, Ruth Tinnin, Ruth
Lough, Josephine Cogdell, Eliza-
beth Sachse, Minnie Earle Marsh,
Fern Hatawy and Gynith Graham.
