hearing John Ben Shepperd
speak at the Annual Chamber
of Commerce Banquet next
Thursday night and to
John Deere Day, an annual
event, next Friday at noon...
OF INTEREST TO ALL FAR-
MERS. .. the Far West Texas

next Wednesday at the Rode-
way Inn in El Paso.
ONE THING FOR SURE
there's never a lack of some-
thing to do in Dell Valley?'! !
HATS OFF to the newly el-
ected 1968 Chamber of Comm-
erce Officers.... Roy "Buddy"
Nix, President; Father John
Casey, Vice President; and
Mrs. Ray Collier, Secretary.,
it's a good slate and know all
will go real well.. . the team
of Deron and Lowayne Kas-
parian and Frank Brownfield
are to be commended for a
job well-done as 1967 officers.
Sure, too, with Father Casey
heading the Fair Association
and Lowayne as Secretary, it
will be another good year at
the Fair Grounds!... .OUR
SINCERE APPRECIATION TO
James Hays and his men for
working such long and hard
hours during the past month
or so... the snow storms have
played havoc with the power
lines and it has really taken
much effort on James' part to
keep things going. ,. and some
areas are still "in the dark"..
THE STREETS are once again
sloppy and muddy.. . .what a
wonderful thing curbs and gutt-
ers would be.... aside from
being such a convenience,
Dell City could stand the
beautifying.. .. hope, 1968
will see this iob accomplished!
HEAR... that in spite of the '
blackout New Year’s Eve....
parties went on as usual
and many found their way in
the dark! !!
SEE YOU AT THE CHAMBER
OF COMMERCE BANQUET!
