CONGRATULATIONS to
Joe Threadgill who recently
C made the rank of Eagle
Scout It is something
of which to be proud... and
will be an asset to Joe the
rest of his life would
like to see scouting pushed
and pushed, but know that
it takes a lot of time and
effort of both leaders and
boys . those who vol-
unteer to be leaders more
than likely have more than
one job to do and time is of
the essence. .... but what
time is given, is appreciated.
WASN'T THE MOISTURE
NICE?.... cooled the day-
time temperatures, too....
however, it brings to light
a need of top priority to the
flood control project.... the
runoff waters always con-
fine residents of Dell Valley
to their homes and in the
valley for several hours
However messy, muddy, and
confined most of us were,
the rains on the parched
ranchland was a blessing in-
deed
GLAD THE HIGHWAY De-
partment has started mowing
the rights-of-way.... they
are nice and green now, and
a good cutting improves the
looks of Dell City's main
streets, and makes them
look like someone cares....
SOME TALK ABOUT the
street lights in Dell City....
seems there's only about 3
burning each night now
vandalism*is responsible for
most of them not working...
vandalism occurs more than
is necessary in our small
town, it seems.... lights or
no it's a bleak recep-
tion one gets driving into
town after dark let's
hope they will all be on a-
gain soon.^^j£..
