The wreck of the Katy passenger
train which occurred just north of the
city early Thursday morning was clear-
ed in time for trains to pass at K
o’clock Thursday night Three baggage
cars and the tender left the tracks and
much work was required In clearing
the wreck away and repairing the
tracks. There were no trains through
Denton from rally morning until night.
The northbound Dallas and Fort Worth
trains and the two, afternoon south-
bound Fort Worth trains were held
up until the wreck was cleared and
passed after H o'clock.
A freight train was derailed on the
Fort Worth track In the local yards at
6 o'clock Friday morning The wrecker
that had been at work on the passen-
ger wreck was still In the yards here
and went to work immediately on the
freight wreck, -with the result that the
track was cleared In about two hours.
Several freight cars were derailed but
no heavy damage was done.

When the proposed sewer ordinance

mission Thursday evening Commls-
Hioner W. B. McCInrkan wanted in-
formation on the s**wer system before
he was ready to listen to the reading
of the ordinance. He asked Mayor
Hennen for what percentage of the
property fronting on str*et,s with sew

Mayor Hennen said he thought, it
would amount, to about 75 per cent
on th** old lines and about 50 per cent
on the new lines. The Mayor answered
that he1 could get th** figures for the
Commission at a later meeting and

a motion that consideration of the
ordinance be delayed until the Com-
mission had gon** thoroughly into the
question. The motion carried.
