Third Jury Trial of Term
Began in County Court Today
The third jury trial of the term be-
gan in fount y Court Wednesday af-
ternoon at 1:30 o'clock with both sides
announcing ready in the ease of the
State vs. Jack Thomason, gaming The
jury was empaneled and < videnee was
being taken at 2 o’clock.
The balance of the jurors for the
week were discharged Wedesday af-
ternoon and it was stated there might
be one other case during the week,
both sides agreeing that if the case
came to trial to use a picked-up jury.
\ charge of swindling under the
i valu^ of $5” against A L. Padgett was
' dismissed Wednesday morning on mo-
tion of the County Attorney.
Hillard Nolan entered a plea of
guilty Tuesday afternoon to assault
and punishment was assessed at a
fine of $25 and costs.
