an 1 Miss Turner of Fort Worth. The
guests registered in a receipt book
presided over by .Miss Bonnie Mad-

being bound and decorated by the
hand pf .Miss Anna Banks, and each
guest contributed to it her favorite
recipe After all had arrived Miss
Turner sang a very sweet love song
and Miss Ousley, after req’ting a very-
appropriate original verse. pulled
the ribbon which opened the end of
a large heart suspended above the
bride’s chair, showering her with
rice. The hostess then asked the
guests to think of the thing each
considered the most necessary for
domestic harmony and if it were of
the sentimental order to write it on
a heart-shaped card which was pass-
ed. and if it were of the practical
a skillet-shaped card bore the mes-
sage. After these were read some
of which were humorous and some
serious, they were weighed in a pair
of scales, and the affairs of the heart
found to be the heavier. Mrs. Banks
and Miss Adams gave a voice num-
ber very appropriate and enjoyable
and several pretty toasts were drunk
to the bride while the guests enjoyed
a glass of punch. The rooms were
prettily decorated with pink hearts
and green vines and pretty summer
flowers. '1 ne guests were the ladies
of the Presbyterian church.
