During the work week, Predictive Maintenance Coordinator David Rumsey
is busy maintaining and monitoring safety at Southwestern Electric Power
Company’s Turk Plant. In his free time, he’s a reserve police officer in
Atlanta, Texas. In fact, he logs more than 500 hours each year as a volunteer
with the department—patrolling neighborhoods, assisting in traffic and
crowd control, and supporting fellow officers. It’s a true commitment
and a dedication to serving the people in his own hometown. Even more,
it’s another example of a SWEPCO employee focused on helping the
community. For David, it’s a badge of honor, one we can all see.
We may be a power company, but the true power in our
communities comes from our people.
At Hill College he joined the Baptist Student Union and be-
came president of United Christian Fellowship and was active
in “Cowboys for Christ.” Receiving the “Call” from God to the
gospel ministry, he moved his family to Henderson, Texas to
attend Texas Baptist Institute and Seminary.
When you hear Bro. Clint preach you can see the strong influ-
ence of his parents and grandparents teaching him common sense
values.
We at Longview Drive Missionary Baptist Church feel blessed to
have such a “Man of God” to lead us.
If you are seeking a church home we cordially invite you to visit
our church and enjoy Bro. Clint’s spirit filled messages that he
brings to us each time he fills the pulpit.
Bro Clint hails from Waxahachie, Texas where he attended Hill
College graduating with an A A degree in applied science. While
attending Hill College, he met the love of his life, Miss Amy.
