net change In the price of cotton con-
tracts last week was a rise of nearly
1c a pound. In the spot department
there was a gain of only 38 points «>n
middling which closed at 27 63c. On
the closing session, middling spots and
May contracts were at one time with-
in three points of each other, the^ dis-
count on contracts being virtually
wiped out after having existed for
over two years Last cdntract prices
showed net gains of 89 to 113 points.
