The thirty Seniors of the College
of Industrial Arts, members of the

who visited large plant* in Dallae
mid Fort Worth Monday and Tues-
day. returned Tuesday night after t

in Fort Worth early Tuesdi

The first inspection Tuesday was

mour A Company, where luncheon
was served at noon. Visits were
also make to the Y. W. C. A. cafe-
terias. the plant of the King Candy
Company. Pangburn's cafeteria,
where lunch was served at 3:10
o’clock. Waples Plater Grocery com-
pany's wliolesale plant, and the In-
spection tour wa» ended with a vis-
it to the Lucerne tea room at 6
o'clock in the afternoon.
The girls ware busy during their
inspection trips both in Dallas and
Fort Worth, for they were required
to take notes of the thlnga they
saw. The trip for the purpose of
inspecting the big plants in the two
nearby cities in an annual event, and
is made that the students may have
a practical demonstration of some of
tlie things they are taught in caaM
The regular course of the college
in dietetics and institutional man-
i.gement is to prepars the girls to
become managers of cafeterias, tea
rooms, and school lunch rooms, and
dietitians in hospitals, dormitories,
and other institutions.
The students received much fav-
orable publicity from the trip. The
newspapers In both cities published
lengthy stories under big headings
of the visits and a group picture of
the young larlea was printed in
nearly all the papers.
