50 YEARS: Glen and Carole Avery of Electra celebrated
their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday, March 22.
The couple have four children including Glenda and husband
Rocky Horton of Lamesa; Tammy and husband Mike Rice of
Wichita Falls, Texas; Michael and wife Karen Avery of
Ringwood, Texas and Laura and husband Chris Watts of Fort
Worth. The couple also has ten grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.

SPECIAL EVENT-The junior high eighth graders attended a Career Safari Wednesday,
March 8 at the MPEC in Wichita Falls. Students had the opportunity to attend session
providing information on careers available in the North Texas region Some of the career
areas covered were nursing/rehab, forensic science, criminal justice, welding, electronics,
computer information systems, fire fighting/EMS, automotive technology, child development
and HVAC. The event was sponsored by the North Texas Tech Prep School To Work
Consortium.
Egg Hunt
Planned
For April 15
The annual City Wide
Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for
Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the
City Park by the Electra
Chamber of Commerce.
The hunt is scheduled to
begin at 10:00 a.m. In case of
bad weather the egg hunt will be
held at Dinsmore Elementary.
The Easter Egg Hunt is open
for children up to 9 years old or
the 4th grade.
