The City of Sanger partnered with the
Sanger Area Historical Society (SAHS) are
beginning fund raising for refurbishment of
the landmark Presbyterian Church Building
located on the northwest corner of Elm and
Seventh Streets, just west of the Sixth Grade
School building.
This church building was completed
in 1902, with final services held in August
1971. No longer being used as a place of
worship, the building was designated as a
Texas Historical Landmark in 1972 and was
donated to the City of Sanger in 1987 and
used as a community library until the new
library building was completed in 1995.
Upon completion of this refurbish-
ment, the building will be used for small
venues such as weddings, receptions, school
functions, and other activities to be deter-
mined as needed by the citizens.
The church will be restored to a pictur-
