They made friends from other schools; endured
rain delays; dealt with a change of venue from
Longview TX to Texarkana TX (1 hour and 40
minutes away); played on indoor and outdoor
courts (which actually makes a difference in the
way you play); made it to quarterfinals before tak-
ing a loss; appreciated a great coach; learned a lot
about tennis and life! (apparently you can get up in
time to eat breakfast at 6 AM before the tourna-
ment and still keep going to play a second game of
tennis that same night at 11 PM); watched some
amazing tennis players; made memories!!!

Michael D. Habern D.D.S., Diplomate of the American Doard of Orthodontics
help the seniors class compete
for a district championship. Ri-
ley Blagg, Zach Shepard, Hollis
Gleason and Bryon Dallas have
filled in well, on defense and at
the plate. It looked like it would
be tough to make the playoffs when four-year catcher Brock
Howard was lost to a foot surgery. Hamilton, an all-district
third baseman took over where Howard left off and Freeman
moved from outfield to third base. Erik Ly was moved from
center field to second and along with Coin at short stop and
Tallyn Welborn at first made the infield solid during district
play. Blagg (LF), Dallas (RF) and Shepard (CF) are bright
spots for the Indians future.
SHS pitchers White and Gleason were extremely solid
during district. Now it’s time to make a run in the playoffs.
Congratulations Bryce Slovacek and
Bella Muir on winning the first-round match
after a 7 point deficit at the Regional Tennis
Tournament, in Mixed Doubles.

Trent White took the loss for Sanger Indians Varsity. He
only allowed six hits and two runs over six innings, striking
out four and walking one.
Caleb Freeman led Sanger with two hits in three at bats.
Aubrey won the district championship and the Indians
came in second place outright, after tie-breakers. They most
likely will play Dallas Pinkston in the first round of the play-
offs. Sanger coach Steve Ford wants to play a series. “The
plans is to start it next Thursday, but it has to be finished
by Saturday,” said Ford. “I love a
series -1 like to coach and figure BASEBALL FINAL
things out and it allows for one DISTRICT RECORDS:
‘hiccup’and adjust.” Aubrey
