Education Foundation is a

zation who solicits, man-
ages and distributes funds
for enrichment purposes in
program areas not other-
wise funded by the District.
Funding is supplemental
and does not replace or al-
ter use of tax-based revenue.
The goals of the Founda-
tion are to create a perpetual
source of funding for educa-
tion in Sanger, build strong
community support for pub-
lic education and encourage
and recognize creative and
educational activities. SEF
accepts donations from in-
dividuals, corporations and
other foundations to fund
its programs and activities.
Donations may be given in
honor or memory of some-

Generational Literacy
Skills, Character Education

endowment in the amount

“TMI” in the amount of
$10,640.00 to Kelly Bounds
and the team of Mary Stew-
art, Sheri Kennedy and Jen-
nie Flaa. Grant is made
possible by partial funding
through Joan and Jesse Cof-
fey endowment. Award is
for 10 Mac Books, 10 iWork
software, 10 extended care
licenses and 30 headphones
to complete mobile laptop
capacity for fourth and fifth
grades at campus.
• Sixth Grade Cam-
pus is the recipient of a grant
for “Get Fit & be Healthy”
in the amount of partial
funding of $2080.90 to Lisa
Roberts and the team of
Ruby Henline, Sheila Futch

Sanger Education Foundation Awards More Than $73,000
The Sanger Educa-
tion Foundation proudly
announced the recipients
of the 2013-2014 Instruc-
tional Grants, Professional
Growth Grants and District
Grant at the Sanger ISD
“End of School” Awards
Ceremony held on June 8,
2013. These awards were
determined through an ap-
plication process that be-
gan in early February The
Foundation formed a select
committee who reviewed
applications through a rig-
orous, anonymous process
that was founded upon a ru-
bric, formulated by Sanger
ISD faculty and foundation
members.
Thirteen grants were
awarded totaling $73,704.30
with funding made pos-
sible through area donors,
business partners and funds
invested within the founda-
tion family of endowments.
Endowment earnings pro-
vide partial funding in ac-
cordance with the Texas
Uniformed Prudent Man-
agement Act in which pro-
ceeds can be aligned with
identified donor criteria and
programs being awarded. A
big thank you is extended
to all our endowment rep-
resentatives and foundation
members for presenting this
year’s awards. They were
