was held last Thursday in the
educational building.
Hostesses for the luncheon

The U-shaped table, laid in
white was decorated with a
reindeer arrangement and a
streamer made of greenery and
red poinsettias. Rev. Ed Sch-

Burleson Garden Club
The annual Christmas Party
of the Burleson Garden Clubt
took place last Wednesday in
the country home of Mrs. J. P.
Best, west of Burleson. The in.
terior of the house was gaily
decorated in keeping with the
Holiday Season, with a tradi-
tional, green Christmas tree,
loaded with old fashioned orna-
ments.
During the short business
meeting, Mrs. Roy Mercer, Sr.,
announced that the recently held
Christmas Ideas Show and Ba-
zaar was a huge success and
made the recommendation that
it be continued each year in the
future. Mrs. Mercer was Chair-
man for the Show and thanked
all of the members for their
splendid participation.
As all standard and regular
Garden Clubs are required to
elect officers for the next club
year, at their meeting in Jan-
uary, Mrs. C. Don Collins, Pres-
ident of the Club, appointed five
