children, Travis VanSlyke,

Joe Burt and Josh Gault. Rex

There will be no viewing

honor his request to have
him standing in the corner of
the room with a Bud Light
in his hand. Cremation will
take place at the family's
convenience, and his ashes will
be spread across the land that
he loved.
Everyone who remembers
him is asked to celebrate Rex's
life in their own way; raising
a glass of their favorite drink
in his memory would be quite
appropriate.
Arrangements for an
informal memorial will take
place in Leonard at a later date.

those consequences, learned
from them and will use the
knowledge that I have learned
during this time to move on
with my life in a productive
and positive manner. I do not
want to let my past mistakes
define my future.
I believe that accepting
responsibility for my actions
is the first step to recovery
and forgiveness. I realize that
I cannot change what I have
done; I can only do what I
can to make it right so that
all of us can move on. It was
important to me that I paid
full restitution. It was the right
thing to do.
I have spent thirty
plus years devoted to this
community and I do hope that
this event will not be what I’m
remembered for. I pray that
all of you will at least think
about forgiveness, and in time,
maybe through God’s grace,
you can come to a point that
you can completely forgive.
I pray for open hearts as you
read this letter.
I would also like to take
this opportunity to express
my gratitude and love for my
family and friends who have
been by my side with their
love, forgiveness and support.
In closing, I pray for a
bright future for this City
and all of its citizens. I want
nothing more than to see the
community continue to grow
and prosper.
Thank you for your time
and consideration.
Sincerely,
Allecia Booher
