Daniel A. Newcomb
Daniel A. (Jack) Newcomb, 80, died Sunday, May 26,1991, in
Stamford Memorial Hospital.
Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday, May 28th, in the Albany
Church of Christ with Earnest Smith officiating, assisted by Jot
Bass. Burial was in Albany Cemetery under the direction of
Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mr. Newcomb was a long-time cowboy. He belonged to the
Lueders Church of Christ
Survivors include his wife, Callie Fay Newcomb of Lueders; a
daughter, Martha Fanning of Lueders; two sons, George Carvin
Newcomb and Sam W. Newcomb, both of Lueders; nine grandchil-
dren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Morris Neal, 85, died Thursday, May 23, 1991, in an Abilene
hospital.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25,1991, at the Rule First
Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen officiating.
Burial was in the Rule Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robison
Funeral Home.
Mr. Neal was bom in Haskell County and was a lifetime resident
of Rule, where he was a banker at the Farmers National bank for 65
years before retiring.
He was a member of the Rotary Club and First Methodist Church
where he was a steward and secretary of the church for many yfears.
survivors include his wife, Verna Neal of Rule; a son, Charles B.
Neal of Abilene; a daughter, Wanda Joyce Neal Richardson of San
Antonio; a sister, Mary Ruby Brown of Andrews; and a grandson.
Henry Bernard Adams
The funeral for Henry B. Adams, 81, of Rolla, Missouri, who died
Thursday, May 9, 1991, in Phelps County Regional Medical
Center, was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday May, 11,1991 at 2 p.m -
in the Null and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Rolla
City Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a resident of the Rolla area since 1982 and was
formerly a resident of Stamford, Texas. He was a member of the
Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Zelma, of Rolla; one son, Weldon, and
daughter-in-law, Joann Adams, of Rolla; three sisters, Cecil Beryl
Brimberry, of Rolla; Cuyler Bernice Stanford of Lueders andGolda
Maxine Minter of Rolla; five grandchildren, Clayton Todd Adams,
and his wife, Teresa, Donald Kevin Adams, Denise Renee Adams,
Bruce Alan adams and Lori Ann adams; one great granddaughter,
Kimberly Ann Adams; a daughter in law, Anita Lorrine adams, of
Oakley, California.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart
Association.

Minna McClellan McAllister, 89, died at 9:35 ajn. Tuesday, May
28,1991 at Teakwood Manor Nursing Center following a lengthy
illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, May 30)
at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Lampert officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery directed by Kinney
Funeral Home.
Bom March 29,1902 at West, Texas, she had lived in Stamford
since 1904. She attended schools here and graduated from Stam-
ford High School.
She married Alton F. McClellan Sr. at Throckmorton on February
19,1922. He died in 1953 and she later married Jessie B. McAllister
in Stamford on December 11,1954. He also preceded her death.
She was a sales person and worked until she was 80 years old
because she enjoyed people. She had worked as a denial assistant
in Dr. Blackwell’s office; had worked for Firestone Tire Company,
May Jewelry, Self’s Jewelry, Dobbins Pharmacy and was working
at Hickman’s Pharmacy when she retired.
She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a
member of the Golden Age Choir and had served as a teacher and
Sunday School department superintendent.
She was a former member of the Music Club and Garden Club.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alton F. Jr. and
Betty McClellan of Kerrville; a daughter, Martha Louise Shannon
of Butte, Montana; a step son, J. Neil McAllister of Woodbridge,
England; two step daughters, Lou Jean Lowom of Stamford and
Winifred Jacob of Sarasota, Florida; a brother, Edgar Lovvom of
Stamford; seventeen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchil-
dren.
