Tuesday, February 6, 1968.
He is survived by: his wife,

dcploynsnt with the U. S. Sev-
enth Fleet off the coast of
Vietnam.
During a t tal of 67 days on
station, the Robison partici-
pated in "Sea Dragon” oper-
ations along the- c-ast f North
Vietnam, and provided naval
gunfire support for two am-
phibious operations involving
the Third Marine Amphibious
Force, the First Cavalry Di-
vision anc. the Republic of
Korea Tiger Division in South
Vietnam.
"Sea Dragon” is the oper-
ation to stop the infiltration
of men and war supplies from
north to South Vietnam by sea.
Presbyterians To Begin Building
Shown here is the architect’s drawing of th*’ future building complex of the First Presbyter-
ian Church of Pearland which will be located on Highway 518 just east of and adjoining Sherwood
subdivision. The complex will be builtona4.6 acre tract. Groundbreaking services for the first
unit, (lower center of picture) will be held Sunday, Feb. 25. at 3 p.m. This unit of approximately
4800 square feet, which will eventually become the Fellowship Hall, will temporarily serve as
both the .’anctuary and the Fellowship Hall. The 107 members of this church now meet in the
Niday Funeral Home Chapel.

Coast Guard, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George D. Vertz of Rt.
1, Pearland, was graduated
from basic training at the
Coast Guard Recruit Training
Center, .Alameda, Calif.
Under the guidance of ex-
perienced Coast Guard petty
officers, he successfully com-
pleted a rigid eight-wet 1-
training program designed to
transform him from a civilian
Intv a trained Coast Guards-
man.
As a graduate he may apply,
if eligible, for advanced train-
ing in one of the many occu-
pational fields required by the
Coast Guard, or he may be as-
signed to a Coast Guard unit
operating in the United States
or overseas.
Although active in many ma-
ritime safety fields, the Coast
Guard specializes in starch
and rescue, merchant marine
inspection, -oceanography and
maritime aids to navigation.
The Coast Guard also coop-
erates with other federal a-
gencus in law enforcement
operations.
On February 25, at 3:00
p.m. the First Presbyterian
Church, Pearland. Texas, will
break ground for the first unit
of their Church Home. The
plans for this new structure
were designed by Wm. K.Mil-
ler of Pearland with the Dans-
by & Miller A.I.A. Architects
of Pasadena, Texas. Th* con-
tract for the construction of
the first unit has been awarded
to Hull & Hull Construction
Company.
The first unit which will
eventually become the Fellow-
ship Hall, will serve tempo-
rarily as Can*.tuary-r*.How-
ship Hall. Class Rooms,
Church Offices. Kitchen and
Rest Rooms. The architect’s
plans make it possible to add
each additional unit as it is
needed.
