1 egg well beaten
3/4 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
The Even s beat the Odd s
at the Pearland Exes’ football
game last Saturday night, Dec
16 at the Pearland football
stadium, I he final score was
Even’s 10 and the Odd’s 2.
Coach Howard said, “Con-
sidering the wet field and the
weather, it could have been a
better game. We hope to make
this an annual affair."
About 200 were in atten-
dance at the game, and from
all repons, some of the older
Exes were more than just a
little sore the next day.
According to repons, there
were no serious injuries and
nobody got killed, although
they felt like they had been.
Oh well, it was all in the spir-
it of good, clean*’? fun and we
are looking forward to next
year's game.

The childreninthe Pearland
schools can now have their
eyes and ears tested more
thoroughly by the new Vision
Tester and the Diagnostic Au-
diometer
The Vision Jester, recent-
ly purchased by Pearland In-
. dependent School District re-
places the “L” chan and is
a great improvement, as it not
only detects nearsightedness,
but farsightedness and eve
balance as well
All children in
land Independent J
tnct are tested annually for
visual defects by the school
nurse. Anna . rott, R.N. Fol-
lowing the tests, if any de-
fects are found, Mrs. Scott
notifies the parents that the
child should be taken to a doc-
tor for further examination.
Approximately 95 per cent of
those recommended for fur-
ther examination are fitted
for glasses.
Also, since children's eye-
sight changes quite rapidly in
the lower grades, some chil-
dren are tested more often.
Usually the teacher notices
that the child Is having some
kind of visual problems and
asks the nurse to test him
again.
