Committees were formed
and program plans and ser-
vice projects for the 1967-68
year were discussed. Plans
were made for full attendance
at the regional conference to
be held at Galena ParkonOct.

The Delta Lappa Gamma
Society began in Austin in 1929
with the organization of a sin-
gle chapter. It is now inter-
national in scope with hun-

50 states and in Canada. The

be the principal speaker. A
special feature will be the pre-
sentation of an endowment fund
in the name of retiring State
Highway Engineer D. C.
Greer. Raised by popular sub-
scription throughout the State,
it will provide engineering
scholarships at Greer’s alma
mater, Texas A & M Univer-
sity.

Houston Symphony will open
its season Oct. 2 and 3 in
Jones Hall with Mr. Previn
conducting.
The season is expanded to

Mr. Previn will conduct nine.

many more birthdays, and to join him for coffee and a piece

close of the meeting a beau-
tiful birthday cake, baked by
