students I would like to take this
opportunity to thank the community
of DeLeon for all of their support
towards the band. We as a bend
raised over $8,000 inorder for this
trip. The students represented
DeLeon well in performance as well
as manners. They were pottle, even
though they were tired, respectful to
authority, and a credit to our town.
After seeing the behavior of some of
the other school^at this contest I am
very proud to be a part of the DeLeon
Band prograin this has been a very
pleasant year for the band, we are no
longer laughed at, or talked bad about
from the other towns. Someone once
said, “Good things come to those
who wait,” and now I understand
what they were saying. Next year the
band will be even stronger and more
eager to better themselves. They
now have bad the winning bug bite
them and it is very contagious. Once
again I thank you for all of the sup-
port.
