Yarborough,of Texas, at the International Airport in El Paso
Sunday afternoon at 3*40 p.m. to ask his assistance in help-
ing to secure the new proposed road north of Dell City into
Pinon and Weed New Mexico.
It is thought that the Senator, through his assoexation with
Senators Clinton Anderson and Chaves of New Mexico by coord-
inating their efforts it might lend considerable help in acc-
omplishing the project.
The meeting will be held in the lobby of the terminal build-
ing promptly at 3«40p.m. with El Paso County Judge Woodrow
Bean making the introductions.
We urge every citizen who is anxious to see the road project
to go through to attend this meeting. We want representation
from the Itell City, Salt Flat, and New Mexico area to attend.
If you have room for other passengers in your car, taxe
someone with you. Everyone that can possibly go should att-
end the meeting. Lets have a good representation there.

very sorry that they are leav-
ing. ^r. Speights will make
occasional trips back to Dell
City to look after farming in-
terests. Good Luck.

ONE DOWN AND 31,000 TO GO. The very first bale of cotton in
the Dell Valley was ginned Wednesday at Western Cottonoil’s
East Gin by ginner Wilbur Parker (right). To Lorenzo Diaz
(left) goes the honor of bringing in the first bale.
Out of 1660 pounds of seed cotton he received 830 pounds of
seed, and 586 pounds of lint cotton. Pretty Good,, Last year
the Valley ginned over 31,000 bales. Can we reach that figure
this season?
