Houston, Tex.—The completion of
two good wells at West Columbia and
one at Hull featured operations in the
producing fields of the coastal section
during the past week. Barbers Hill
also attracted attention when on Fri
day Walter Keeble’s (trustee) No. 1
Gulf Production Company, which set
screen around 750 feet, shot two heavy
streams of oil over the top of the
derrick.
The best well of the week was the
Texas Con pany’s No. S3 Hogg at West
Columbia, which came in with an ini
tial flow of approximately 10,000 bar-
rels early in the week. It was closed
in to around 5000 barrels. Friday the
Humble Oil and Refining Company’s
No. 19 Japnet, in the same field, came
in at 3310 feet, flowing at the rate of
3000 barrels, and shortly after settled
down to producing around 1500 bar-
rels.
Late in he week, the Monarch Oil
and Refining Company’s No. 1 Hanka

The same company’s No. 1 Harrison •

wells are the first to be completed bj
the Monarch in the coastal section.
