Albert Holloway
Rites Are Held
Funeral service- for Al-
bert Holloway, 69, of Hous-
ton were held on Dec. 24 and
burial was in South Park
Cemetery at Pearland.
Mr Holloway moved to Al-
vin shortly after 1900 and was
reared here. He is well
known to Alvin’s old-timer •
Survivors are his wife,
Eunice Parker Holloway of
Houston; a daughter, Louie
Bi hop of Baytown; two sons.

WATER APPLICATION—
A hearing on an application
by he Dow Chemical Com-
pany at Freeport to divert
1.5 million acre feet of wa-
ter annually from the Bra-
zos River will be held tn
Austin Feb. 3 before the
Texas Water Commission.
The Dow application, which
says that the water would be
used for “industrial use'
asks a maximum removal
rate of 2,000 cubic feet per
second from the old channel
of the Brazos at a point 2.41
miles southeast of Freeport.

with the Rev. Brooks Elliot,
pastor of the Assembly of
God Church in Dickinson, of-
ficiating. Burial was in die
New Brazoria Cemetery at
Brazoria
Mr. Shull died Sunday in
Galveston County Memorial
Hospital, La Marque.
He was a native of Ball
Town. Mo. and was a re-
tired farmer. He lived in
Alvin for three years and
was a member of the As-
sembly of God Church
Survivors include three
sons, Edgar Shull of Bra-
zoria. Charles Shull of Bin
ton. La., and Henry Shull of
Independence. Mo.; a daugh-
ter. Mrs. W. W. Bryant of
Alvin; 16 grandchildren and
23 great-grandchildren.
