Powerlifters compete in
Giddings, Smithville meets
Schulenburg High powerlifters competed in the Giddings meet on
Jan. 16. The Shorthorns totaled 14 points to place sixth out of nine
teams. Smithville won the boys’ division, followed by Elgin, Bell-
ville, Rockdale, and Giddings. Other boys’ teams were Gonzales,
Weimar, and Caldwell. The Lady Homs finished with four points
to place eighth out of nine teams. Weimar won the girls’ division,
followed by Smithville, Elgin, Caldwell, Giddings, Gonzales, and
Rockdale. Bellville also competed in the girls’ division.
