The boundary lines of the Nations of Europe, fixed by the
Armistice and Peace Treaties are important as part of the terms
ending the World War.
Some of the boundaries are far from satisfactory, and will be
modified later. Nevertheless, these boundaries will always be
important as marking a great epoch in history. On these boun-
daries will depend many events in the years to come, and the
development and progress of many of the peoples in Europe. So
they should be taught in all our Schools.
For these reasons our new Map of Europe-we call it "The
New Europe"-shows these boundaries; the territory lost and
won; the new nations, the territory subject to plebiscite and the
territory undetermined.
And, in order that the schools buying our Sets No. 1, 3, 5 and
8 Maps may be up to date, we will send them a new Map of Europe
in 1920, without charge. This Map will be the same size as the
Maps already supplied, and will show everything up to that
time. It will be sent about or after September, 1920.
