game Friday night. The
Longhorns led 6-3
throuhout most of the
game, but the Bearcats
scored twice in the fourth
quarter to win 15 - 6. The
defensive unit of the 'Cats
intercepted four Early
passes and recovered a
Longhorn fumble.
Early scored on their
second possession of the
game after completing
three of three passes in the
7O-yard drive. The extra
point kick was no good.
De Leon came right back
to move to the Longhorn 14
before the drive stalled.
Johnny Lewis kicked a 30
yard field goal on the
second play of the second
quarter to narrow the
Early lead to 6-3.
