The United States Achievement
Academy announced recently that
Martin Ramirez has been named a
United States National Award
winner in Mathematics.
This award is a prestigious honor
very few students can ever hope to
attain. In fact, the Academy
recognized less than 10 percent of all
American high school students.
Ramirez, who is a sophomore at
De Leon High School, was
nominated for this award by Tanya
Thacker, a mathematics teacher at
the school. Ramirez will appear in
the United States Achievement
Academy Official Yearbook,
published nationally.
