about the use of the city park.
More items have been added to the

CAR CLUB NEWS
By T. J. Dudley
One couple from Carbon happened
on to the car club meeting and
seemed amazed at the crowd. They
thought J. C. must really be having a
special. Well, it is every second
Tuesday in each month. It was
hoped Fred and Betty Tankersly will
return as he said he owns a ’57 Ford
pickup and that’s more than enough
to get them into the club.
Now your reporter here had
friends invited. They had to be there
Tjy 7 p.m. so meet at 6:30 in front of
our house and get going. Chris Till,
a recent transplanted Houstonian,
left before that. When we arrived,
his ’69 Mustang was the only car in
the parking lot. Is today Tuesday,
we thought or maybe the meeting
starts at 7:30. Chris had already
made himself at home in the fish
bam, so our newest member had a
chance to meet everyone who came
through the door.
CeCe Jolly from Proctor and her
father, James Fitzpatrick, from
Spring, who followed us, thought it
strange to find an empty parking lot
after such a hurried trip. Oh well,
we all arrived and after the second
helping of fish seemed to forget
being so early.
Clifton and Jan James offered to
furnish the trophies needed for the
Comanche County Car Club car
show during the Pow Wow in
September. We accepted their
