as a result of the injuries she sus-
tained in the accident. An autopsy
was conducted to determine what
condition she may have been in

Adams said there were no

her vehicle.

But if a person hasn’t en-
tered into a relationship with
God their sins still remain upon
them and they ARE NOT chil-
dren of God and they DO NOT
have right standing with God,
NOT because He doesn’t love
them and hasn’t done His part
and made the provision for them
BUT because they have not put
their faith in Jesus and personal-
ly received His salvation. They
have not been bom again.
Even though I do not act per-
fectly in the eyes of other peo-
ple, God no longer sees me as
“stained” because I have accept-
ed Jesus Christ as my personal
Lord and Savior and I have been
reborn in the spirit so I can ap-
proach God with a new boldness
and confidence of His love and
acceptance of me.
I no longer have a sin con-
sciousness.
You know, one morning years
ago I was listening to some wor-
ship music and just enjoying
being in His presence when a
thought interrupted, “I forgot to
pray for a certain person.” Then
another thought came right be-
hind it. “And I told someone
else I would call them back and
I didn’t.” Suddenly a barrage
of “should haves, could haves,
faults, failures” came rushing in
and I began to apologize to the
Lord for “my” mistakes.
Now this next part you will
need to take by faith, but I know
what I experienced ...
Though I didn’t see anyone I
became aware of the Lord mov-
ing around me and I literally felt
something coming about my
shoulders. With my eyes still
closed in “prayer” I automati-
cally asked Him, “Lord, what
are you doing?”
And He spoke to my heart,
“Your nakedness is showing
BUT you are clothed in MY
SH 288 accident claims life
One's relationship with God must be personal
Several years ago I shared this
experience with you, but with all
the “dirty laundry” being thrown
out there I feel like airing some
clean. I hope it blesses you ...
“Oh, THAT’S just GREAT!”
Those words coming from
our grown son’s mouth so early
in the morning could mean two
things, maybe he’s eating Frost-
ed Hakes OR something was
amiss.
The sarcastic tone gave it away.
As I continued to get ready for
work he charged down the hall,
“Mom, MOM!”
“Whaaaat?”
“I got blood on my collar from
when I shaved, is it noticeable?
Look! It is noticeable, isn’t it?!”
Now his dress shirt was a
brilliant white and I expected to
see a huge crimson stain, but it
was only a tiny speck of blood,
so automatically I replied, “Oh,
that’s not bad, you can barely
see it.”
But as I peered at the speck, in
contrast to that sparkling white,
it became huge and VERY no-
ticeable to me.
I really didn’t think anyone
else would see it, but I knew that
he would probably remain self-
conscious of the stain for the rest
of the day because HE knew it
was there.
Well, several times during the
course of my day I kept being
reminded of it, but for a much
deeper reason.
I thought about how the one
disobedient act of man (Adam)
stained the human race and
allowed sin/death to spread
throughout the whole world, but
also how one Man’s perfect obe-
dient act to God changed it all!
“For the death that He died,
He died to sin ONCE FOR ALL
but the life that He lives, He
lives to God. ”
Jesus’ sacrificial death re-
moved/blotted out the stain of
our sins from the sight of God
so now when we become His
children God sees His Son’s
own righteousness clothing each
one of us.
Isn’t that amazing? Just think
about it.
That’s the exchange that took
place on the cross - God’s own
righteousness was exchanged
for our UNrighteousness.
Jesus can fill.
Just like my son’s shirt, a
speck of sin stained us all and
our garments, but one
speck of Jesus’ pure blood made
us clean again.
“He who overcomes shall be
