' Water bill. reports M. E. Mathis, president of
Water Boy Systems Inc. of Dallas, parent
Company.
Mr. Mathis also' says the "Water-Boy”
system provides important savings in time
and labor. Most homeowners have found
two hours of unattended use a week is
ample to maintain enough moisture for a
healthy, attractive lawn.
Another big feature of the "Water Boy"
Wyslem,
, lex plastic pipe will not rust or corrode
and requires no maintenance, is that it is
equipped with a fertilizer injector through
which a formula mix of grub worm ant and
insect killer flows along with the water.
This special plant enrichment mix is called
Grp Kil and ends any need forehand spread
ing fertilizer or spray, as well as eliminating
skipped or burnt spots on the lawn.
The quality Marlex high density polyethy
tone pipe used in hte “Water Boy" system
carries the National Sanitatipn Foundation

coverage of all I50TS under the turf.
Because the Summer’s searing sun and hot
breezes cannot evaporate or blow away the

neath the lawn, approximately 50 per cent
sayings can be realized on the home owner s
A totally new concept in home lawn care,
which cuts water bills by 50 per cent or more
and eliminates hours of toil weekly, is now-
available in the Stamford area.
Norris Russell is the local distributor
for the "Water-Boy" sub surface system of
keeping lawns green.
More than a million feet of pipe have
been installed yin the Southwest where the
new lawn watering system_originated. The
installation calls for a network of parallel
rows of tough and specially perforated Mar,-.*,
lex plastic pipe underneath the grass itself.
This pipe, made of rugged high, density
Marlex polyethylene, a product of Phillips
Chemical Company, is laid in a bed of pea
gravel several Inches under the top surface
of the lawn.
When the homeowner turns on the valve,
normal city w'ater pressure forces a blended
stream of water (or a specially prepared
grass food and fertilizer through the pipe
perforations directly to the grass roots.
The system has been engineered so that
