Demand for the St. Joseph
Family Almanac Calendar, pro-
duced annually by Plough, Inc.
for 38 years, has grown so rap-
idly and the colorful calendar
has become so popular with
every member of the family
that many customers have al-
ready made early advance res-
ervations before their druggists’
supply of calendars is depleted.
Filled with a variety of fea-
tures ranging from “do-it-your-
self” suggestions to health and
safety tips, the calendar’s full
color 28 pages cover a category
of more than 150 subjects—a
miniature encyclopedia. But
the newest and biggest fea-
ture of all is the chance for
those who receive the St. Jo-
seph Family Almanac Calendar
to win $10,000, or one of 2,055
other cash prizes totaling $25,-
000, just by telling why they
like the calendar. The official
entry blank is printed only in
the calendar. In 25 words or
less, just finish the sentence, “I
like the 1961 St. Joseph Family
Almanac Calendar because . . .”
Contest closes May 31, 1961.
The calendar retains many
long-time favorites, including
fishing and planting charts.
There are tempting recipes
from famous food editors, and
beauty and dieting hints.
Mothers are given aids for care
of a sick child. Other features
are life-saving tips, based on
Red Cross survival rules; what
to do in time of disaster and
how to guard against children’s
accidents in the home.
All these features are in the
1961 St. Joseph Family Alma-
nac Calendar, available now as
a free gift from your druggist.
Pick one up at his store now.
