Dies in Flatonia
Mrs. Sophia Baumbach, wife
of Alvin G. Baumbach passed aw-
ay Thursday morning at the Fl-
atonia Rest Home. She was 71.

at the Koenig Funeral Home ch-
apel with continued services at
the Sacred Heart Church Satur-

Bambrick, Donna and Tommy,
with Jane Kall us. left Tuesday

Colorado where Coach Bambrick
will attend an eight-week math
course at Colorado State Univer-
sity on a scholarship.
Mrs. Bambrick, Donna and Jane
will also enroll for summer cour-
ses at the universtiy.

were considered for a picnic, but

The meeting closed with a pray-
er. The names for the door pr-
izes were drawn'and Sharon Gold
and Debbie Chovanec won.

The Presidential citation has
been awarded for his service as
a board member on the draft bo-
ard serving Austin, Colorado, and
Fayette oounies.
Mr. Grasshaff has served ten

without monetary compensation,
as a public service.
Mr. Stuart T. Penick, chair-
man of the board, representing
the President, at the request of
Colonel Morris S. Schwartz, st-
ate selective service director,
will present the certificate.
The brief ceremony is sched-
uled at 9:3C a.m. in the local
draft board office. 134 North Was-
hington street, La Grange, Tex-
as, on June 18, 1964.
The certificate has also been
signed by Governor John Conn-
ally, Lieutenant General Lewis
B. Hershey, director of Select-
ive Service and Colonel Schw-

interesting talk on, "Discipline and
nutrition of Teenagers."

Bastrop Man Killed
In Head-on Collision
A 62-year old Bastrop man
was killed Friday night in a two-
car head on collision on U. S.
Highway 81 North of Grand View,
in North Central Texas.
The dead man was identified
as Dee Blaylock of Bastrop. Also
dying in the accident was Marg-
aret Glowski of Athens. Three
others were injured in the wreck.
Treated for injuries were the
