Well, it’s now history- and ex-
hibit-wise, entertainment - wise,
and otherwise, we think it was the
best we ever attended. We're
speaking of the Fayette County
Fair, of course, and where else
but in Fayette County could such
a fine fair be put on? The fair
officials and all of the other hard
working men and women who made
this annual event possible, can
rest assured that their efforts did
not go in vain in preparing the

.... Fayette Fair Hailed Success After
JOURNAL Three Day Showing in 33rd Year
As predicted, Fayette Coun-
ty’s 33rd Annual Fair, turned out
to be a huge success. Perfect
weather prevailed the first two
days, accounting for a very
good attendance, especially on
Friday, which was school child-
ren’s day.
A slow rain which began on
Saturday afternoon and contin-
ued. on into the night caused the
cancellation of the rodeo; how-
ever a large crowd was on hand
to view the many interesting ex-
hibits and to attend the third
fair dance in the pavilion.
In the exhibit line, the sheep
division drew the most nterest,
as 123 head were shown for a
new record high. Eight varieties
of sheep were exhibited, as well
as two varieties of Angora goats
totaling 24 head.
The beef cattle, swine and
poultry displays were not as
numerous as in some of the past
years, but the displays
