Jr Lutherans Meeting Postponed
The Junior Lutherans meeting,
scheduled to have been held on
Sat. Sept. 17, in the Meeting Room
of St. Jonn’s Warrenton was post-
poned to Saturday Sept. 24. It is
hoped that all Juniors between the
age of 4 through 12 will turn out
for the meeting.
Enetertains Club
Mrs. Ben F. McCormick was
hostess to the Walhalla Home De-
monstration Club when it met on
Monday Sept. 13, with the Home
Demonstration Agent Mrs. Nettie
Mae Freudenberg. The meeting
opened with prayer. Council report
was brought by Mrs. V. G. Frenzel.
During the meeting that follow-
ed, volunteers to bake the 10 pies
and two cakes for the food conces-
sion at the fair were solicited, and
a schedule of serving hours set up.
Plans were also made for the clubs
assignment of caring for the drapes
in the Home, on Monday, Sept 26.
Mrs. Freudenberg gave her de-

The next meeting will be at the
home of Mrs. Stoelke on Oct. 10 at

thanks, refreshments consisting of
many kinds of sandwiches, potato
chips, pickles, cake, and coffee
were served.
Mr. Jatzlaw and Miss Weyand
will be married Sunday, Sept. 25,
at the Round Top Bethlehem Luthe-
ran Church.

day was his real birthday. Mr. and
Mrs. Ernest Hoppe of Augua Dulce
were here to help him celebrate, a-
long with Mrs. D. G. Koopmann
and Mrs. L. W. Miller and Mr. and
Mrs. V. R. Hart and children. Mrs.
Miller prepared the dinner Thurs-
day. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Henry Miller and twins of Smith-
ville came and brought dinner with
all the trimmings including fruit
cocktail and cake and cup cakes
with candles on them. Mr. and Mrs.
L. W. Miller, Jr. of Austin and Mr.
and Mrs. Leslie Utzman and dau-
ghter of Smithville came over in
the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. V. R.
Hart and children and R. D. Mil-
ler were also there to help cele-
brate.
