Salvation Army Needs Furniture and
Appliances; Pickups Every Friday
The Salvation Army is asking ; ' ■' ' • '
for donations of furniture and ..- -
appliances during February to
sustain its rehabilitation pro-
gram at the Men’s Social Ser-
vice Center.
These repairable goods are
needed to insure continuation
of the workshop program .. at
the Centerrheadquariered in
Fort Worth.
Homeless and handicapped
men enrolled in the program
are given the opportunity to
learn a trade through repair of
these goods, explained Capt.
William Swyers, the center
commander.
“Thanks to the donations of
many people in North Texas,
we are able to perform a-use-
ful service 'through rehabilita-

ers said. ■
The center receives no state
. or federal welfare funds for
its operations ahd depends on
donations to sustain the Salva-
